Smile Better With Cheap Teeth Whitening

If you have seen people with teeth brighter than most, do not assume that they spent hundreds of dollars at the dentist or bought some pricey home kit that requires a lot of steps to be taken throughout the day. In this recession, anyone can try these cheap teeth whitening methods with noticeable results.

There are a number of products out there on the market. Some are available only through the web or mail order and others can be bought at any grocery, mass discount or drug store.

Before trying any product, it is best for a person to go online and find out what kind of reviews or feedback product has received. Especially if the manufacturer is a fairly new player to the oral hygiene industry and has an unproven track record, as far as the consumer is concerned.

If teeth are severely discolored due to factors such as heavy cigarette smoking, food stains (such as berries) or other causes, it is best to seek the advice of a dentist before trying any product.

For some time, whitening strips have been fairly popular but some require wear during the day or tend to slip from teeth. Newer versions claim to make improvements such as less aftertaste and that strip adhesive sticks better to teeth.

Major oral hygiene companies are coming out with brands of toothpaste that whiten teeth in as little as seven days. Some of these contain, either by itself or as a combination, a special patented formula, peroxide or baking soda.

The most natural and least expensive way to cheaply whiten teeth is also the messiest. In a small container, mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to make a thick paste. Apply generously to toothbrush and brush vigorously for no less than three minutes. Repeat at least twice a day until optimum results are achieved.
